Glen Tarnowski was born on July 23rd, 1961, in Culver City, California. A very sick newborn, he was given a 3% chance of survival. But Tarnowski beat the odds. His parents immediately knew that their son’s destiny would be special.

Eight years after undergoing experimental surgery, that something special is revealed as a talent for painting. As a child, he takes art classes at the YMCA and, at the age of eight, sells his first painting to its director. Shortly after, he receives a scholarship to the Barnsdall Art Institute in Los Angeles.

After high school, Tarnowski enrolls at the California Lutheran University to pursue his education in art. He completes his studies at the Pasadena Art Center College of Design.
