10 Jun Guy Hamelin is back at the gallery
Artist Guy Hamelin is back at the gallery this year. He unveils a series of paintings entitled ”Je t’aime”. This collection was conceived in the midst of the pandemic. The artist recounts that during the first lockdown, when Quebec was put on pause, he did not have the time to stock up on artists’ materials before the stores closed. Short on supplies, yet eager to continue his work, he had the idea to create a paste and use it to explore a new technique. With this paste, Hamelin writes a story on his canvas. Each one tells the story of a life journey in straight or curved lines, crossroads, hesitations, and then fluidity. If each journey is different, they all end in the same way, with an “I love you”.
Available in 10×10, 16×20 or 36×48 formats. In less than two weeks, several works have already been acquired. Bravo Guy! Discover his work!
