New sculpture in precast – Now for tomorrow – Yes but…

André Desjardins has just completed a third sculpture that is part of his “Now for tomorrow” collection. This collection reflects on our relationship to the earth, the environment, the climate crisis and the urgency to act. It is titled “Yes, but…”. For André, the choice of title explains the approach behind the work. The “Yes” is for our desire to act, while the “but…” is a reflection of the difficulty of being consistent in our daily actions. To questions like “Are we ready to travel less, to use our car less, to consume less, to consume better?” The answer is often yes, but… The artist sculpted a character leaning on a damaged sphere, and wanted to illustrate that through our gestures, we continue to put pressure on the earth.
