Monumental sculpture finally installed!

Monumental sculpture finally installed!

At long last! André Desjardins’ monumental sculpture “Free” is finally standing tall on the shores of lake Memphremagog. André marked the much-awaited installation on June 16 with family and friends since distancing restrictions did not allow for a large-scale gathering. The mayor and elected municipal representatives also took part in a quite touching ceremony.

The monumental work can now be viewed by all. It faces the lake in the magnificent Parc de la Baie in Magog.  Throughout the summer, the artist will be present to guide small-group visits and share his stories about the great adventure of the sculpture’s creation.  The visits will continue at the gallery with the presentation of 4 new clay sculptures. Many of the guided visits are already fully booked, so please reserve a place as soon as possible! For more information, please contact us at: [email protected]
