Galerie ROCCIA is offering the general public a unique opportunity to discover The Little Climbers by sculptor André Desjardins. This fall, the new collection of 7 sculptures is likely to create quite a buzz among our clientele. These new works will be on exhibit at the gallery, in their clay state, from Wednesday, September 14 to Sunday, September 25. They will then be sent to the Fonderie d’Art d’Inverness to be cast in bronze.
Standing at approximately 12 inches tall, the Little Climbers scale walls or cling to everyday furniture: tables, dressers, bookcases, windowsills, shelves or any other surface, according to the imagination of their new owners. Some climb alone, others help each other. For Desjardins, this new collection is about solidarity, collective effort and surpassing oneself.
